I started Putivo because I kept meeting people who were doing everything right — moving into a new home, starting a new chapter, trying to build a life — but they were stuck. Not because they lacked motivation, but because they lacked help.
A single mom staring at boxes she couldn’t lift. A senior who bought curtains but didn’t have the tools to hang them. A student moving into their first apartment with no one to call. A family new to the area, overwhelmed by the setup.
I saw the same pattern over and over: people weren’t struggling with life — they were struggling with the setup.
I grew up in Georgia watching my father fix everything with his hands. He taught me that a home isn’t just a place you live — it’s a place you build. He taught me that showing up for people matters. And he taught me that when you have the ability to help, you don’t wait for someone else to do it.
Putivo is my way of carrying that forward.
Why Putivo Exists
Putivo is built on one simple belief: everyone deserves a home that feels complete.
We help people with the tasks that make a home livable, safe, and functional:
- Furniture assembly
- Curtain and blind installation and removal
- Ceiling fan installation and replacement
- Light fixture installation and replacement
- Shelving and small home setup tasks
- The “I just need someone I can trust” moments
One of my favorite moments was helping an elderly mother‑in‑law who had bought a beautiful teak bench for her shower. The box had been sitting in her bedroom for four months because she couldn’t lift it, couldn’t assemble it, and didn’t want to bother anyone. An hour after I arrived, she sat on that bench, smiled, and said everything without saying a word. Her safety and enjoyment had just begun.
Why Funding Matters
Putivo is growing faster than expected. The demand is real, the need is real, and the impact is real. But to serve more families — and to serve them well — we need to invest in:
- Professional‑grade tools
- A reliable work vehicle
- Safety equipment and protective gear
- A world‑class booking and scheduling system
- Expansion capacity to ensure no one gets turned away
Why This Goal Is Non‑Negotiable
Putivo isn’t optional. The people we serve don’t have backup plans.
When a senior can’t lift a box, that’s not optional. When a student can’t assemble their bed, that’s not optional. When a family sleeps on the floor because their furniture isn’t assembled, that’s not optional. When someone’s safety depends on a properly installed fixture, that’s not optional.
This fundraiser ensures no one gets turned away, no job is delayed because of equipment, and no family is left struggling alone.
